Do good, do no harm, and love Jesus
What is Christian Mission?

Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet
and to wipe them with the towel that was tied around him. (John 13:5)

The mission of the church is to be a witness in the world for the call of God to genuine community in the Body of Christ. This goal is not achieved unless the door is open for all people and thus the call of the church is to a community which is open to all and closed off to none. The church must be committed to this mission.

The heart of Christian ministry is Christ’s ministry of outreaching love. Christian ministry is the expression of the mind and mission of Christ by a community of Christians that demonstrates a common life of gratitude and devotion, witness and service, celebration and discipleship. All Christians are called through their baptism to this ministry of servanthood in the world to the glory of God and for human fulfillment. The forms of this ministry are diverse in locale, in interest, and in denominational accent, yet always catholic in spirit and outreach.[1]
